KOHIMA, AUGUST 25 (MExN): The All Nagaland Hindi Teachers Union (ANHTU) today informed that 1379 Hindi Teachers appointed under Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) have not been paid their salaries for 7 months from February 2016 till date. The ANHTU, in a press release, appealed to the Nagaland State Government to look into the matter and take a serious note of it. “As, the aggrieved teachers are facing many hardships in maintaining their daily expenses and also the school fees of their children, some of the teachers are even posted in some outskirts for which they have to incur the travel expenses. And they have been incurring all these expenses like payment of the school fees of their children, maintaining household expenses and many other expenses from their own pockets despite their salaries being kept pending for 7 months,” it added. It appealed to the Department of School Education and the Government of Nagaland to release their salaries at the earliest.
