The Nagaland Badminton Club is all set to organize 1st ever Nagaland Premier Badminton League under the aegis of Nagaland Badminton Association from April 24 to 26 (Tentative) at Indoor Stadium, Kohima.
This Premier Badminton League aim to promote Badminton in the state and to set a platform to those young upcoming talents as well as Masters (above 35+) to get back into the wonderful game of Badminton and to check their fitness level and share their valuable experience as they fight it out as a team to be the No 1.
Teams will be divided into groups depending upon the Team registration. League Format: Best seven matches.
The categories will include Under 15 years Boys Singles, Under 17 years Girls Singles, Under 19 years Boys Doubles, Men Singles, 75+ Mixed Doubles (Men 40+ & Women 30+), 85+Men Doubles and 95+ Men Doubles.
Points System: Best of 03 games of 15 points with no extension (in the league round). Best of 03 games of 21 points (in the knock-out stage & Finals)
Registration of Teams: Team Owners has to pay a registration fee of Rs 50,000 payable to NPBL(Non Refundable).
Registration of Player: Player who wishes to take part in the League must register themselves with a nominal charge of Rs 200 payable to NPBL (Non Refundable)
Categorization of Players: Alpha (a)-International/national player. Beta (b) - State Player, Gamma (c) District Player and Omega (d) Amateur Player.
Player Auction: All the players must register for auction, this will help the Team owner to have equal balance of players in all the participating teams.
A total cash prize of Rs 2,30,000 along with trophy and certificate is set aside for the winner and runner-up of the League.
There will also be prizes for Player of the League and Most Promising Player.
Accommodation & food will be provided by the organizer.
