20 HIV positive detected in Zunheboto from April-October 2017

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 1 (MExN): Joining the rest of the world, the World AIDS Day was observed here at SKK Jubilee Hall, Zunheboto on December 1, 2017. The programme was organised by DACPU in collaboration with ZDLSA, NZP+, 5th AR and other HIV & AIDS facilities under the theme "My Health My Right.”  

According to a DIPR report, RMO, 5th Assam Rifles, Captain Dr. Abhishek Sharma who was the guest speaker spoke on the prevention, transmission and treatment of HIV/AIDS. Dr. Abhishek Sharma in his speech exhorted the gathering on the need to take proactive role by creating awareness among families, friends and neighbours about the deadly disease.  

DPO, DACPU, Atokali Assumi in her address spoke on the significance of the day while revealing that 20 person were detected as HIV positive from April 2017- October 2017. She also said 27 person were registered at ARTC from March 2017- November 2017 under Zunheboto district. Hutoi Chophy spoke on the theme "My Health, My Right".
