Twenty students were injured in a tragic bus accident along Billy Graham road, Kohima this morning at around 10 am. The students from Kohima College were on their way to partake at the 73rd Naga Independence Day celebration at the Naga Solidarity Park, Kohima.


The injured students were rushed to Naga Hospital Kohima and KOHIMAS Hospital.


When contacted, Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) vice president Dievi Yano said that 19 injured students were discharged after receiving first aid. One student who suffered serious injury and was admitted to KOHIMAS Hospital is now said to be out of danger. The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained at the time of filling this report.


Meanwhile, the NSF while regretting the unfortunate incident said all medical expenses of the students incurred due to the accident would be borne by the Federation. It has wished all the students speedy recovery.
