Chumu Town Youth Organisation and KVSU Kohima village today entered the quarter finals of ongoing 20th NSF Martyr's Memorial Trophy 2019.
Chumu Town Youth Organisation defeated Amicis Unitum 2-1 in the first match. Khiusumew of Chumu Town Youth Organisation opened the scoring in the 21st minute. Limakumzuk added the second goal in the 64th minute to help his team book a berth in the quarter final. A consolation goal for Amicis Unitum was scored by L Nokoi in the 68th minute.
In the second match, KVSU Kohima Village defeated Phesama Youth Organisation via tie-breaker 5-3 after the match ended in a goalless draw.
Earlier on Monday, defending champion Centurions FC beat Phezoucha Youth Organisation 3-0 while last year's runners up MVYO Meriema downed Tyrants FC 6-1.
Meanwhile, the 1st quarter final between Centurion FC Kohima Village and Chumu Town Youth Organisation will take place on October 10 at 1:30pm.
An exhibition match between Angami Students' Union and Angami Youth Organisation will take place on October 9 at 1:00pm.
1st class contractor Vilelie Khamo will grace the occasion as the match patron.
