Kohima Eagles SC, Barak FC, New Market XI enter quarterfinals
Our Correspondent Kohima | November 10 Kohima Eagles Sporting Club, Barak FC and New Market XI today secured their quarter finals berth after registering wins in their respective pre quarter final matches at the ongoing 23rd Classic Cup here at the Kohima Local Ground. In the third pre-quarter final match, Kohima Eagles Sporting Club defeated Naga Terriers 1-0. The winning goal for Kohima Eagles SC came through Menguzelie in the 20th minute. Barak FC downed FC Ziezou 6-0 in the 4th pre quarter finals. Tingyek Konyak opened the account for Barak FC in the 6th minute. He increased the score tally in the 20th minute. Rhitso Mero also contributed two goals for the team in the 30th and 42nd minute. Seiboi Haokip and Hitova netted a goal each in the 36th and 48th minute respectively. Meanwhile, New Market XI registered a win over Tseidi FC 1-0 in the 5th pre quarter final match. Khwetelhi Thopi scored the winning goal for New Market XI in the 41st minute.
