Chedema VYO today entered the semi finals after defeating United V&S FC Dimapur 7-6 via tiebreaker in the last quarter final match of the ongoing 24th edition of Classic Cup 2018 organized by Classic Club Kohima at Kohima Local Ground.
The match witnessed 1-1 draw till a regulation 80 minute play and again 1- 1 draw even during 15 minute extra time play.
United V&S FC took 1-0 lead till the first half as Laiwang connected a goal for the team in the 14th minute.
Shiirhosul netted equalizer goal for Chedema VYO in the 61st minute.
After the match ended in a 1-1 draw till a regulation 80 minute play, 15th minute extra time was applied wherein both the team again scored a goal each
During the allotted 15th minute extra time play, Shiirhosul netted another goal for Chedema VYO in the 89th minute.
Souhiampou netted equalizer goal for United V&S FC through spot kick conversion in the 110 minute.
After the match ended in a 2-2 draw, it was decided through penalty shoot- out in which Chedema VYO defeated United V&S FC 7-6.
With today’s win, Chedema VYO will face Kiiluopfii FC Pochury in the second semi finals on November 17 at 2:00 PM.
