Sechü Zubza FC to take on Puliebadze Club

Sechü Zubza FC will take on former champions Puliebadze Club, Jotsoma in the final of the 25th Classic Cup 2019  on November 23 at 1:30 PM at Khuochiezie, Kohima Local Ground.


Debutants Sechü Zubza FC, who were champions of the Kohima Football League 2018, cruised into the final following its victory against two-times champions New Market XI 3-0 in the semifinal.


Puliebadze Club, Jotsoma, winners of the Classic Cup in 2003 edition, made it through to the final by overcoming Kohima Eagles FC 1-0.


Minister for planning & coordination, land revenue and parliamentary affairs Neiba Kronu will grace the grand finale as the guest of honour.


The Champion will receive a cash prize of Rs. 3 lakh while the runner-up will get Rs. 2 lakh. Losing semi finalist will bet Rs. 50,000.


The player of the tournament will get a motor bike & certificate while a bicycle each will be given to Best Goalkeeper, Best Defender, Best Midfield, Best Forward and Highest Scorer.


The most participated team will receive Rs. 25,000 along with citation. The Best Coach & Manager will get Rs. 5000 each. Referee of the Tournament will also be awarded with Rs. 5000.


Other special prizes include; Best Discipline Team- Rs, 10,000, Most loveable player- Rs. 5000 and photo shoot of the Tournament- Rs.10, 000.

•    Defeated Golden Lion 12-0 in the preliminary round
•    Defeated Nyenshen FC, Tuensang via tie-breaker in the pre-quarterfinal (after 1-1 draw)
•    Defeated United Falcon Club, Medziphema 4-3 in the quarterfinal
•    Defeated New Market XI 3-0 in the semifinal
 
PULIEBADZE CLUB , JOTSOMA
•    Defeated Seiyhazou Hill Boys FC 1-0 in the preliminary round
•    Defeated Hamei FC, Tuensang 2-0 in the pre-quarterfinal
•    Defeated FC Chizami United 3-1 in the quarterfinal
•    Defeated Kohima Eagles FC 1-0 in the semifinal
