Mt. Sinai HSS, Loyola HSS enters final

Mt. Sinai Higher Secondary School Kohima and Loyola School Jakhama today entered the finals of 2nd edition of Kohima District Inter School Football Tournament at Kohima Local Ground, organized by Royal Club, Kohima in association with School Education department and Youth Resources & Sports, Nagaland.
In the first semi-final, Mt Sinai HSS blanked Chandmari HSS 3-0.
Dougunlal Lhouvum scored two goals in 27th and 28th minute while Moses increased the score tally in 53rd minute.
Playing the second semi-final, Loyola School Jakhama defeated Northfield School by 4-1.
Loyola HSS scored first through Mecievi Khieya in 20th minute but Northfield scored the equalizer through Totuna S Chophi in 21st minute.
However, in the second half, Keduhoto Zao scored the lead in 44th minute and Vinongol Luho scored the third and fourth goals in 56th and 70th minute. With this, Loyola School will face Mt. Sinai HSS in the grand finale on July 9 at 1:00 PM.
The Champion will win a cash prize of Rs. 70,000 while the runners-up will get Rs. 50,000.
Semi finalists will also get Rs. 20,000 each.
Cash award amounting to Rs. 5000 each will also be given to best cheering school, best discipline team and player of the tournament.
Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire, advisor for rural development will grace the valedictory function and give away prize to the winners.
