Under the aegis of HQ 6 Sector Assam Rifles, HQ IGAR (N), the 32 AR on Friday conducted Ex-Servicemen Rally cum Medical Camp at its camp premises, Kashiram, Dimapur with Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Limasunep Jamir, IPS as the chief guest.

Addressing the gathering, Limasunep lauded the ex-servicemen for having rendered their service to the nation with sincerity and dedication. “Being in the uniformed service is not easy and you have faced various difficulties and gone through a lot of struggles but the most important thing is that we keep peace in the society,” he added.

He pointed out that there were many services where people draw salary without actually having to work but added it was not the case with uniformed services. “Be proud of what you have done and achieved for your nation and society,” he told the gathered ex-servicemen. Limasunep asked them to encourage their children to join the forces to serve the nation with dedication.

Later, the chief guest handed over gifts to Veer Naaris and Veer Bahadurs. He also visited the various stalls opened at the venue and interacted with the ex-servicemen.   Commander of 6 Sector AR delivered the welcome address.
