Dimapur, November 23 (MExN): The 37th Nagaland Police Duty Cum Sports & Athletic Meet 2017 will come to a close on Friday. Pankaj Kumar, IAS, Chief Secretary, Nagaland will grace the Closing Ceremony at the NAPTC Stadium in Chumukedima as Chief Guest.
The Closing Ceremony will showcase women 100 metres race final followed by the much anticipated Drill Competition where top three finalists – viz., 12 NAP (IR)/14 NAP (IR) and 15 (IR) Mahila – selected earlier will display their drill for the gold, silver and bronze medals spot. This will be followed by men athletes competing in the 4x100 mtrs relay race and lastly demonstration of weapon handling.
Entry for the event is free and the organisers have extended an open invitation to all to witness the Grand Closing Ceremony.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, women athletes competed in the 4x100 mtrs relay race with 15 (IR) Mahila Battalion ‘A’ Coy securing the gold medal while ‘E’ Coy and ‘D’ Coy had to settle for silver and bronze respectively.
