46TH KYO annual sports meet

Kidima, January 5 (DIPR): The Deputy Director of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Government of Nagaland, Dr. Viral Yore graced the 46th Kidima Youth Organisation (KYO) Annual Sports Meet 2011 for three days as the Chief Guest on January 4, 2011 at the village playground.  Dr. Viral Yore while addressing the gathering lauded the KYO for the improvement they have brought about. While stressing on sports activities, the chief guest said that sports give physical fitness and build friendship where it brings happiness, peace, unity and understanding. Yore also appealed the sportsperson to keep balance diet and exercise for professionalism in the field of sports  Invocation prayer was pronounced by Krovito George, Catechist, St. Francis Xavier’s Church, Kidima. Special number was presented by Asevo Temi followed by Tati. Gun salute, tournament torch lighting, administering oath to participant teams were the other highlights of the inaugural programme. The chief guest was accompanied by Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Department officials. Dr. Viral Yore also donated 18,000/- to KYO welfare fund. The three days competitions are athletic, football, national style and sepaktakraw both for men and women. The Guest of Honour would be Kikhwesϋl Thokhwe wrestling coach, Directorate of Youth Resources & Sports, Nagaland.
