DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 7 (MExN): The 4thPeren District Inter Departmental Badminton Tournament began on November 7 at Indoor Stadium, Jalukie Town. Parliamentary Secretary for Sericulture, Home Guard & Civil Defence, Namri Nchang graced the inaugural programme as the chief guest.
“Sports is the platform that bring us closer to each other,” said Nchang while speaking at the Inaugural programme. Lauding the Organizing Committee for organizing the programme, he encouraged the players to play, fair and give their best performace.
Convenor, Organizing Committee, Dr. Denis Hangsing, who also delivered the welcome address chaired the programme. IdausileI heilung presented a special song while Pastor Ihusing Liegise pronounced the invocation prayer. Personnel from 15 (fifteen) departments are participating in the tournament.
