T-Khel lead medal tally

  Our Correspondent Kohima | January 15   Tsiituonuomia Khel with 17 medals led the medal tally at the end of the first day of the ongoing 63rd Kohima Village Sports Association (KVSA) Meet 2018 here at Khuochiezie (Kohima Local Ground) on Monday.   In athletics events held today, T. Khel secured nine gold, four silver and four bronze.   Dapfhiitsumia Khel is second on the list with 10 medals – 3 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze.   Pfuchatsumia Khel is third with 6 medals – 3 silver and 3 bronze.   Lhisemia khel claimed four medals – 3 silver and 1 bronze.   Athletics events on January 16, starting from 9:30 am onwards, will be marked by 100m race (men & women), triple jump (men), shot put (women), 200m race (men & women), 3000m race (men), 400m race (men), javelin throw (women) and 4X100m relay race (men & women).   Volleyball (Men) and chess event on January 16 will take place at Khuochiezie and Indoor Stadium respectively.   400 sportspersons representing the four khels – Lhisemia, Tsiituonuomia, Dapfhiitsumia and Pfuchatsumia are taking part in this 63rd KVSA meet, which will conclude on January 19.
