72 teachers from NE attend refresher course at St Paul Institute of Education

Kohima, January 12 (MExN): St Paul Institute of Education, Phesama has begun its annual In-Service Teachers Programme with 72 teachers from all over North East. The 12-day refresher course for teachers is an annual feature of the oldest teacher training institute in North East, informed a press release received here.  

In keeping with its goal of training teachers for tomorrow with quality and commitment in mind, the institute trains teachers to face the challenges of teaching profession, the release added. The refresher programme equips teachers with the skills to face modern disciplinary problems.  

It is packed with Pedagogy of Teaching, Skills and Techniques, Accelerated Learning, Mind Mapping, Personality Development, Classroom Management, Behavioural Management, RTE, Multiple Intelligence etc.  

The programme is also equipped with Dancercise, PT and Rhymes to make classes interesting and to motivate the students. Knowing the need of training teachers, St Paul Institute has been training teachers at different levels in North East, the press release stated.  

The resource persons for the programme include Rev. Fr. Charles D Souza SJ, Rev. Sr. Deepthi FCC, Rev. Dr. Boniface D Souza SJ, Rev. Dr. Anand Periera SJ, Rev. Fr. Ravi Sagar SJ, Rev. Fr. Gerard Rego SJ, Rev. Dr. Arock SJ, Rev. Sr. Tessin FCC (Vice-Principal), Zhapuvino, Thejaseno, Mhasivino, Ciu Zashumo, and Felix Monteiro SJ (Principal).
