75,046 applicants remain on live register of employment exchanges in Nagaland

There are 75,046 applicants remaining on the live register of employment exchanges in Nagaland as on December 31, 2018.


Out of 75,046 applicants, 51,564 are male and 23,482 female, according to the Annual Administrative Report 2018-19 of the department of employment, skill development and entrepreneurship tabled by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on the floor of the House on Friday.


Categories of applicants stand as follows: post graduates – 5,919, graduates – 21,162, pre-university – 12, 032, matriculate – 12, 626, below matric – 21, 034, degree (tech) – 1, 592 and diploma – 681.


During the current year, 22,943 fresh applicants have been registered at the various employment exchanges for job assistance.


The total number of employment in Nagaland in the organized sector as on December 31, 2018 stands at 90,785.


Out of this 90,785, total number of employment in public sector under 976 establishments stand at 84, 762 while 6,023 are under 230 establishments under private sector.

Rs 8,05,55,494 utilized for acquisition of land in Nagaland

Government has no land of its own and in order to accelerate the pace of developmental activities, government has to acquire private land.


This was stated in the Annual Administrative Report 2018-19 of the department of planning & coordination tabled on the floor of the House Friday by Minister for planning & coordination and land revenue Neiba Kronu.


During the financial year 2018-19, an amount of Rs 1450.00 lakh was made available under land compensation and an amount of Rs 8,05,55,494 was utilized for acquisition of land, the report stated.
