7th inter dept badminton tourney at Pughoboto begins

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 13 (MExN): The 7th Inter-Departmental Badminton tournament for the Pughoboto sub division was declared opened by MLA, Y Vekheho Swu at Indoor Badminton Stadium on August 13. The MLA who was the special guest on the event urged upon the participants to maintain discipline and sportsmanship to inculcate not only themselves but also for the younger generation. He also narrated his experiences as players and also how the UIDS was used for the improvement of works in his area in previous years. He thanked the officers for coming forward and asked the department for more participation to maintain good health. Altogether 21 teams participated from 14 departments. The program was chaired by SDAO, Myanthung Patton and the oath taking was administered by Hokiqhe Shegi.
