8th Horsepower Challenge 2019 begins

Vehicles taking part in the 8th Horsepower Challenge which began in Kohima on November 21.

Altogether, 105 riders from Assam, Meghalaya, Tura, Mokokchung, Dimapur, Jowai and Delhi have joined the 8th Horsepower Challenge 2019 under the aegis of Nagaland Adventure Club (NAC) here at Phriebagei, (Medical College), P. Khel, Kohima village.


The participants include 72 in 4 the wheeler category and 33 in the 2 wheeler category.


During the inaugural function, a one minute silence was observed in remembrance of Late KK Paul Rutsa. Earlier, welcome speech was delivered by NAC president Kevisede Chadi.


Considered the best organized motorsports event in the North East, the 8th Horsepower Challenge will also witness the culmination and final round of the 1st North East Championship in memory of Late KK Paul Rutsa.


A cash prize of over Rs. 6.50 lakhs is set for various categories of stage rally and Motocross enduro for cars and bikes respectively.


The competition events will start from November 22.
