Woodland CC, Bokajan CC win
Kohima, March 28 (MExN): Woodland Cricket Club and Bokajan CC registered wins against their respective rivals on the third day of the ongoing 9th Silver Cup T20-Cricket organized by Youth Department of Nepali Baptist Church Kohima at Jakhama Local Ground.
In a close-shave first match of the day, Woodland CC won against NBCK by two wickets. Woodland CC winning the toss elected to bowl and restricted NBCK to 120 runs with Robi Thapa contributing highest 45 runs. Woodland bowler Atsungri claimed 5 wickets. Woodland CC managed to achieve the target losing 8 wickets with major contributions from Mepong - 26 runs and Tizuk - 20 runs. NBCK bowler Suresh Thapa claimed 3 rival wickets. Atsungri was adjudged man of the match.
In the second match, Bokajan CC won against Kat's Xl by 64 runs. Put to bat first with Kat's Xl winning the toss, Bokajan CC set a target of 167 runs. Trinath Bey scored highest 56 runs while Ajay and Siddharth supported with 31 and 25 runs respectively. Kat's Xl bowler Gobi claimed 2 rival wickets, however chasing the target, they fell short of wickets at 102 runs with Toto scoring highest 19 runs.
Bokajan CC bowlers Kanhaiya, Samir Sarma, Badal and Siddharth claimed two wickets each. Trinath Bey was adjudged man of the match.
