Dimapur, February 6 (MExN): Aqahuto Area Sports Association (AASA) lifted the third edition of the Sumi Hoho Inter-Area Football trophy beating Kuhuboto Area Sports Association. The final match of the tournament played on Saturday ended 2- 1 in favour of the former. A jubilant AASA team on Sunday expressed gratitude to all well-wishers and friends for supporting the team while enabling them participation in the tournament. The tournament was organised by the Sumi Games and Sports Association under the theme: ‘Unity and Integrity’.
The Association especially thanked Western Sumi Sports Association and the hosts Atoizu Sports Association for their support and cooperation. It also thanked Hokivi Chishi for donating Rs 25,000 to the team, Rubin Zhimomi (Rs 20,000), Atomi Zhimomi (Rs 10,000), GB Union Aqahuto (Rs 10,000), Honito, Pimla (Rs 5000), Viheshe Achumi (Rs 5000), STH Aqahuto (Rs 5000), Phukuto, Advocate (Rs 5000), Kiyehe Awomi (Rs 5000), Kikheto Y Sema, Additional Secretary, Government of Nagaland (Rs 5000), Hekuto, Head GB, Kiyeto village (Rs 2500), Akihito, Shuxuvi village (Rs 2500), Aqahuto Area Students Union (Rs 2500), Tokuho, Head GB, Suhoi village (Rs 2000), Shikuto, LRC (Rs 1000), Ihoto, Pimla (Rs 1000) and WSSA (Rs 5000).
