ABCC lauds clean election initiative

Dimapur, March 1 (MExN): The Angami Baptist Church Council today expressed it appreciation to everyone who “has responded to the call of the church for clean election.”  

While noting that it is still “processing what had just taken place with mixed feelings,” the ABCC lauded “all those who have chosen to do the right thing before God and fellow citizens.”

“The present reality confirms that our battle for a fair society is far from over!,” ABCC Executive Director Rev. Dr. V. Atsi Dolie said in a press release issued on behalf of the Council.  

“In fact, we should now commit ourselves to be truthful and honest in all of our dealings and pray fervently for the “government” that will come up in the next few days that its leadership will dispense justice and fairness for all,” it added.  

Meawwhile, the ABCC also expressed it deep pain over the loss of precious lives during the election and prayed for God’s consolation to the bereaved ones.  

“Our Naga society, birthed and nurtured in Christ, must grow and remain in Christ always,” it further exhorted.
