ACAUT express anguish over NSCN (IM) statement

Action Committee Against Unabated Taxation (ACAUT) is anguished over the press statement by the NSCN (IM) demanding Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industries (DCCCI) president Hokivi Chishi to provide evidences in support of his allegations on forceful sale of calendars. It is unbecoming for an organization of their stature.  ACAUT on receiving numerous complaints from Business owners and public in Dimapur of exorbitant demand notes and forceful sale of calendars and House Tax.

ACAUT along with DUCCCF, DCCI and BAN members after meeting with business owners, visited several shops in Dimapur on the 3rd of Feb. 2014 To understand the grievance of business owners, so based on this confirmation and also the obvious known fact that at most times calendars are sold for 200 to 300 rupees and not rupees 100 which of course is the actual price. DCCI being the parent organization of business owners, it becomes DCCI’s prerogative to highlight the problems faced by businesses and Hokivi Chishi being the president of DCCI is merely discharging his responsibility by appealing to your esteem organization without any malice to intervene and correct.

ACAUT dissuades anyone or organizations to pin point fingers in the interest of the individuals who have come forth courageously with complaints. ACAUT and the General Public stand against extortion collection, selling calendars, House tax, Trade license registration, identity card registration etc etc. The NSCN (IM) as a responsible organization should not be concern about proofs at this juncture as it is known to all but the concern should be; how to correct this problem and address the concerns of the people. Therefore ACAUT request the esteem authorities of NSCN (IM) organization to not take this matter any further but look within itself to understand the ground realities and of the problems faced by the business community in particular and Public in General.
