Action plan for NBCC Clean Election Campaign at local level

The action plan for Nagaland Clean Election Campaign (CEC) spearheaded by Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) has called for formation of Village Monitoring Cell for CEC.  

As per the action plan, the duties of Village Monitoring Cell for CEC will include setting up of volunteers for the campaign where about 20-30 persons inclusive of men, women and youth will wear CE volunteer badge.  

Other duties are organizing common platform, sensitizing all groups of people including inter-denominations, educating the mass through preaching/teaching in the church.  

The action plan also stated that church leaders/workers both in Association or local church level who intend to directly involve in election business or serve as office bearers of any party should resign from leadership position.  

Also, it encouraged prayer day/ chain of prayer/ fasting and personal prayer every day, local church to dispense “Pledge Card” (House to House), conscientizing within the ambience of prayer meetings and Bible studies.  

To exhibit integrity, every family has been appealed to hoist “White Flag” and affix pledge in their homes, erect billboards in key locations clearly stating “Dos and Don’ts,” local church leadership to coordinate with village council and youth wing to enforce CEC agenda, in particular, to safeguard booth capturing and proxy voting.
