ACYA mission tour to Kidima

Kohima, February 26 (MExN): Angami Catholic Youth Association (ACYA) went on a mission tour to Kidima on February 26. Reverend Father Thomas Muttathil, Parish Priest was the main celebrant at the programme.  

In his introductory speech, Reverend Father Thomas asked the faithful to ask pardon and mercy from God before the celebration of Eucharist, informed a press release from P. Tepekrovi Kiso. The Priest also emphasised the gospel reading of the day that people cannot serve both wealth and God. “Wealth has the natural tendency to forget God,” he stated. Reverend Father Thomas also thanked the ACYA leaders for coming all the way to the village to meet the community and called it a privilege for the members of the parish.  

Medoneisa Marcus, President of ACYA also convened Central Executives Committee (CEC) at St Francis Xavier’s Church Kidima on the day of the mission tour. The ACYA CEC consists of five region - Chakro (Dimapur district), Kohima Town, Northern, Southern and Western Angami. Kekhrieneino Regina, General Secretary of ACYA read out the meeting minutes, Pechovinu Veronica and friends presented welcome song. ACYA leaders also presented a special number, while Keyolevo Augustine, President of KCU pronounced word of gratitude.  

Earlier, Franciscan Sisters of Saint Mary of the Angels (FSMA) also joined in the sacred ceremony.
