Ad-hoc teachers’ demands just: ANGPTA

DIMAPUR, JUNE 20 (MExN): The All Nagaland Government Primary Teachers' Association (ANGPTA) central today lent its support to the “just and legitimate demand of the Adhoc Teachers under the banner of ANTAG for Service regularisation.”

A press note from the ANGPTA noted that this group of teachers has undergone all criteria (suitability test) for their service regularization. “Yet in spite of the completed criteria set by the government and their heavy work load in par with other regular teachers, they enjoy only fixed/meager salary which is not enough to meet their daily end,” it said.

The ANGPTA urged the government to solve the issue of the Adhoc teachers at the earliest and “rescue the helpless students who become the ultimate victim in the tussle.”

It also appealed to the concerned authority to find ways and means to address the issues of various teachers groups with sincerity “as the adamant nature of the government has given birth to the agitation culture in the Department.”
