ADAN to check rampant practice of Ayurveda

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 19 (MExN): The Ayurvedic Doctors Association of Nagaland (ADAN) has resolved to check the rampant practice of Indian medicine especially Ayurveda by unqualified persons without proper degree and required training which put into risk the health of the common people.  This was decided during the Association’s first meeting held on September 14 since receiving its registration from Nagaland Societies Registration Act of 1860 (Act no-1 of 2009) under the president-ship of Dr Asappe Kauring, a press statement issued by Media & Information Wing informed on Thursday.  The Association has also resolved to form a council of Indian medicine on par with other Medical System Acts with the nomenclature of Nagaland State Council of Indian Medicine (NSCIM) under which registration of Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, Sowa Rigpa, Yoga & Naturopathy along with the welfare of these system will be taken up. The Association has also decided to conduct a health camp on October 12 on account of 4th National Ayurveda Day.
