AG Nagaland to roll out SMS service for pension, GPF

Kohima, June 19 (MExN): The office of the Principal Accountant General (Audit & Account), Nagaland, will launch Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) SMS Service for pension and GPF on June 20. Senior Accounts Officer (Admin) in a press release informed that once the service is launched, the pensioners would receive regular SMS regarding the status of their documents on their mobile phones in 3 to 4 stages.

The stages include: Receipt of pension and GPF documents in A&E office; Sending of confirmation letter to the concerned department; Sending clarification letter to the concerned department in case of incomplete documents/information; and on completion/settlement of the pension/GPF case.

In this connection, the office requested all the retiring employees to provide their mobile telephone numbers along with pension/GPF documents. The service will be launched in the office on June 20 by Menukhol John, IA &AS, Principal Secretary to the Government of Nagaland.
