Dimapur, October 12 (MExN): The three-day 8th Biennial Youth Conference of Association of Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland (AGBCN) got underway at Chümoukedima Town Hall today.
Rev Mathias Subba, Director of Himalayan Evangelical Fellowship Kalimpong, Darjeeling was the speaker for the introductory session. He said that team work is the need of the hour to bring about positive change in the society.
Stating that Youth's priority is to be in step with the word of God, he challenged the youths to be spiritually awakened.
Shishir Lama, Youth Secretary Association of Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland shared greetings while Santabir Rai, Executive Secretary Association of Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland exhorted the gathering. The function was chaired by Daniel Biswa, Youth Chairman, GBC Diphupar and Convenor, Youth Conference, Pastor Robert Aley gave the orientation session.
All together 32 Gorkha churches from Nagaland are taking part in the Biennial Youth conference, a release here informed. Around 350 delegates attended the introductory session. The conference is being hosted by Nepali Baptist Church Chümoukedima.
