Kohima, March 7 (MExN): AHODs & HODs had a meeting on March 7 in the Secretariat conference hall. The meeting was presided over by the Chief Secretary in-charge, Temjen Toy who also informed all AHODs & HODs to attend the public swearing-in-ceremony of People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) at Khuochiezie, Kohima Local Ground on March 8. Temjen Toy called upon the government officials to cooperate for proper office administration. He informed that the Union Home Minister and other Union Ministers and Chief Ministers from neibouring states will also be attending the public swearing-in ceremony. He reminded the AHODs/HODs to attend the official lunch at the Raj Bhavan following the swearing-in ceremony. Stating that the assembly budget session will commence on March 12 he asked the AHODs and HODs to get ready with the necessary materials for their departments ahead of time. He said that the budget session will resume after a long recess. Meanwhile, the departments have been asked to work on their annual administrative reports and other businesses pertaining to office which should be submitted to the Assembly Secretariat. The meeting also discussed finance matters where Temjen Toy reiterated about the New Pension Scheme and told the defaulting departments to do the necessaries by submitting/ depositing the amount at the earliest. He also reiterated about salaries under the new revised pay scale. Toy also informed that an operation with BSNL mobile linking to Aadhaar will be done on March 13 and 14 in the Secretariat. He has also informed the departments to submit their requirements to the 15th Finance Commission. The Secretary Finance informed that the department has already started preparation for the budget and informed AHODs/HODs to contact the department for any finance matters and also that ROP, Arrear and new Pay of February has to be drawn in March 2018 adding any shortfall of salary has to be submitted within three days. Principal Director, Treasuries & Accounts while speaking about computerization of Treasury said that computers should be provided to the districts to tie up with the system with DDOs so that transaction would be made easier. He also reiterated that no manual is required with the cash management product system.
