Mokokchung, January 2 (MExN): The Langpangkong Students’ Conference (LKM) triennial general conference cum tournament is scheduled to be held from January 8 to 11, 2019 at Akhoya village. Akhoya village is located in a beautiful hillock by the side of National Highway No, 2 between Mokokchung and Tuli town.
S. Pangnyu Phom, minister, Health & Family Welfare and Temjen Toy, IAS Additional Chief Secretary & Finance Commissioner, Nagaland will grace the occasion as special invitees and Tongpang Ozüküm, minister, PWD, Imnatiba, Advisor, Industries & Commerce & NIDC and Amenba Yaden, MLA will also grace the four-day event as honorable leaders from Langpangkong.
The conference will deliberate on the topic “Bond of Integrity” with Senti Ao, IAS, Secretary to the Government of Nagaland as main speaker. Another main highlight of the programme shall be a drama about the allotment of portfolios in traditional putu menden amongst the tatars in form of meat allocation known as ‘Chungliyimti Shilang’.
This four-day tournament will also witness an exciting inter villages football and volleyball league matches in different play grounds. One of the football grounds is named as P.Talitemjen Ao ground in honor of the former Nagaland Chief Secretary, the first IAS officer of Akhoya village from Langpangkong range.
The L Pangersowa Jamir Trust Award for Academic Excellence and LL Yaden Meritorious Scholarship shall also be awarded during the conference.
Another exciting moment of the tournament will be a Veteran football match to be played amongst the veterans players of Langpangkong in Nagaland.
Beside the play and discussion, there will be a time of Night Carnival to enjoy and relax with Lords of Rock, Alica and Red Neck.
A free health camp will be also organized with medical doctors from Medicine, ENT, Dentist & Gynaecologist departments at Akhoya village on January 5, 2019 from 10:00 AM. Medicines will be provided free of cost to the patients during this medical camp. People who need medical treatment in and around Akhoya village are requested to avail these free healing facilities by the organizer.
