DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 4 (MExN): Alliance Air, a wholly owned subsidiary of Air India is all set to add Dimapur and Imphal to its list of destinations. 


A DIPR report today provided additional information about Alliance Airs entry to the state, informing that all inclusive one-way fares from Dimapur to Imphal and vice versa will start at Rs 1811.


Direct flight operations connecting Dimapur to Imphal and Guwahati will begin from December 7. This is an RCS route under the UDAN scheme with thrice weekly frequency on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. 


The airline will deploy its 70 seater aircraft on this sector, the report said. It will provide first ever option of swift connectivity in 50 minutes from Dimapur to Imphal as getting to Imphal is almost a 7-hour bus ride from Dimapur station. Onward connectivity from Dimapur to Guwahati, and from Guwahati to Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkota are feasible, it said.
