ANATG district units support pen down strike

Tuensang, May 15 (MExN): All Nagaland Ad-hoc Teacher’s Group (ANATG) 2015 Batch district units have expressed support to the “pen-down strike” called by the ANATG Central for three days from May 16–18.

ANATG Tuensang unit in a statement said it “firmly” supports the proposed strike. The statement issued today by the unit president, Imlong Chang and general secretary, Chongma C urged all the units to firmly adhere to the resolution of the ANATG Central team. The unit also informed all its members to be “prepared for any further action call adopted by central union.”

The ANATG 2015 Batch Dimapur unit also “strongly stand” by the decision of the Central ANATG 2015 Batch for pen down strike, which was called after the ultimatum served on April 30 for service regularization to the State government expired on May 11. “We no longer trust the verbal assurances from the Government of Nagaland and demand that instead of giving empty promises and assurances, to regularize our services at the earliest,” stated a press release from ANATG 2015 Batch Dimapur unit president, Surhota Yhobu and general secretary, Kughalu Swu.

“Therefore till our demand is met we will continue exercising our right and will completely support any course of action initiated by the Central Body,” it added.
