ANCSU calls for end to teacher’s attachments

DIMAPUR, MAY 3 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students Union (ANCSU) today said that the Directorate of School Education “has not been delivering justice to the students” by allowing attachments of teachers in various capacities to VVIPs, VIP, Directorate, DEOs and SDEOs.

A press note from the ANCSU said that this culture of attachment is one of the department’s “ill practices and also keeping the details of those attached teachers under the wimps of some selfish interested officials.”

The ANCSU viewed that the School Education Department has done “much harm to our society by compromising quality education in various manner exploiting the student’s career and strangling the government school.”

It maintained that the union would not “idly sit back and bark” but instead take the measure in its hand by locking the department if it does not detach the teachers within thirty days. It further cautioned those attached teachers, VVIPs and VIP “revolting or confronting the demand of ANCSU.”

The ANCSU meanwhile stated that any government officials allotted vehicles is “strictly banned from picking and dropping college students” and appealed to parents that are government officials to comply with the same. It informed that the union would be vigilant in its call and directed all its units to immediately seize such vehicles and report to ANCSU officials for further action.
