ANCSU reiterates demand for recruitment of 110 sanctioned posts through NPSC

DIMAPUR, APRIL 21 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has reiterated its demand for recruitment of the 110 sanctioned posts under the Department of Higher Education through the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC).

The said sanctioned posts were recommended after rationalization by the department, therefore these posts should be immediately sent to NPSC in toto for fair competition and recruitment, the ANCSU demanded in a press statement on Sunday.

It maintained that the delay in recruitment of these posts has resulted in many unwanted situations where the students have been affected in many ways. It also demanded that no reservation should be given against the 110 sanctioned posts but only be recruited purely on merit basis.

The ANCSU also demanded that no contract appointed lecturers should be regularized under any circumstances. It also asked the state government to immediately terminate those contract appointed Assistant Professors who do not qualify the required qualified as per the University Grant Commission (UGC).

It further suggested that if there arise need for contract appointment after recruitment of the 110 sanctioned post through the NPSC, such contract appointment should me made entirely based on the UGC guidelines.
