DIMAPUR, MARCH 2 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has stated that it will not be party to “delay tactics” of the Nagaland State Government in taking action against erring officials in the Technical Education Department. In a letter to the Nagaland State Chief Minister, the ANCSU reminded that the State Vigilance Commissioner report of November 5, 2015, has not been acted on by the state government. It further reminded that the ANCSU had submitted an earlier ultimatum to the Nagaland CM for quick action on the issue. “…to our utter dismay, the government once again requesting the ANCSU for reviewing and waiving of the deadline is unjustified and a slap on the face of the student’s community,” it stated. The ANCSU cautioned that it has been compelled to take its own course of action in order to “protect the right and future of the students.” It may be noted that the ANCSU has been alleging “irregularity and discrepancies, loopholes in conduct of exams and distribution of seats for various technical courses by the Technical Education Department” in the state.
