ANDMSA proposed agitation gains support

Dimapur, November 22 (MExN): Several units of All Nagaland District Ministerial Service Association (ANDMSA) today voiced their support to the three-day ‘pen down and computer shutdown’ agitation called by the parent ANDMSA from November 27-29.

ANDMSA has been demanding amalgamation of Directorate and District Ministerial Cadre into Common Ministerial Cadre as recruitment policy; elevation of HA/Sr. HA to District Superintendent Class-I and SDHA/Accountant to Class-II; and Creation of District Superintendent Class-I and Assistant District Superintendent Class-II in all the independent DDOs of districts and sub-divisions.

ANDMSA Dimapur unit has urged the Manpower Rationalization committee to re-examine their “genuine” demands in order to avoid further escalation of stir and agitation by the district ministerial staff.

A press release from the ANDMSA Dimapur unit general secretary, M Zachamo Ezung and finance secretary, Yevishe further informed that the unit has convened an emergency general meeting on November 25, 1:00 pm at Tourist Lodge, Dimapur. Therefore, all its member have been requested to attend the meeting positively. All the department and departmental representatives were also asked to bring the membership and welfare fund (Rs 500 per head) for the year 2016.

In a separate press release, ANDMSA Kohima unit stated that it has resolved to “wholly support” the proposed pen down and computer shutdown stir “due to the indifferent attitude of the State Government towards the genuine demands made by ANDMSA.” For further enquiries, it asked to call 07630980491 (Vice-President) and 07630099004 (Information and Publicity Secretary).

The Zunheboto unit of ANDMSA also asserted it will strictly enforce the three-day agitation. Requesting all DDOs and member staffs of various departments to cooperate, it appealed to the general public of Zunheboto district to bear with the inconveniences. The unit through a press release also warned its members not to submit any pay bills to the Treasury office and instructed members not to allow clerical works to be performed by any other non-clerical staffs.

“The officials of ANDMSA Zunheboto unit along with volunteers from member departments would be keeping strict vigil on all government offices including Treasury office, Banks, and Revenue department etc.,” stated the release from President Toikhu Awomi and General Secrerary Kakiye I Chishi. In order to avoid unwanted situations, it has informed all concerned to strictly adhere to the appeal and participate in the agitation.
