Angami, Chakhesang national workers reaffirm support

Hebron, January 20 (MExN): A joint consultative meeting of the Angami and Chakhesang national workers of NSCN (IM) was held on January 19.   The meeting extended “unconditional support” to the Collective Leadership of NSCN (IM), said a press release from MIP, NSCN (IM). “The Angami and Chakhesang national workers who are firmly grounded on the principle that Nagas have their own inseparable and universal natural rights to self determine her own political future extend their full unconditional support to the Collective Leadership led by Gen. (retd.) Kholi Konyak, the Vice-President and the Ato Kilonser, Th. Muivah,” it read.  

The joint meeting further reaffirmed support to the August 3, 2015 Framework Agreement signed by the NSCN leaders (Late) Isak Chishi Swu and Th. Muivah with the Government of India “through which the GOI recognized the unique history and situations of the Nagas,” the release said.  

Attended by Collective Leadership members, Lieut. Col. (retd.) Neipfupe Venuh and KK Angami, along with a host of Steering Committee Executive members, Steering Committee members, Kilonsers, Deputy Kilonsers, Tatars and Regional Authorities, the purpose of the meeting was to “strengthen the eternal bond of brotherhood and also to reach out to all the Naga brothers and sisters everywhere in the same spirit.”
