Angami Regional Council NNC clarifies

This is unfortunate at this stage but I am the right person to write why because of senior leaders of Angami Regional Council is referred wrongly by Mr.Z.Hukato (UT-1 Chairman) in yesterday's Newspaper and objection is also raised. In this connection, I will make it very clear as one of the senior NNC workers and also responsible for the Angami Regional Council.
I attended the Central Executive Council (C.E.C) Emergency Meeting called by the NNC Central leaders as I come to know the Meeting date was fixed on 29th March by Vice President, General Secretary, Two senior Advisors and other C.E.C members in consultation on 25th March at former NNC President's place (Gen.(Retd) I.Panger). Accordingly, the Meeting was convened and all the Hon'ble members from different Regions came for the Meeting but Mr. Kiumukam Yimchungru (Vice President) did not turned up, therefore I personally called him and talked over phone whether he would come for the Meeting and he replied that he was sick so he would not attend but we (members) should carry on the Meeting. The second question then I asked him was whether he would complaint and object if the House adopt any resolution in the discussion,
he straight away told me that he won't, so I shared this conversation with other members and the Meeting started by electing former President presently senior Advisor of NNC to be Sessional  Chairman by voice vote and the Meeting proceeding started with  the Chairman and the General Secretary in the House.
Therefore, the Meeting was conducted with full understanding, proper procedures and rules of NNC, so C.E.C. Meeting on 29th March was right and valid. Therefore, there is no question of calling the Meeting by one official and also unofficial and unauthorized question does not arise in this clear cut Meeting convened by the NNC leaders. And also senior leaders of Angami Region  should not be mentioned wrongly, there was no particular mentioned of a Region leaders in the NNC Press Release of 27th March. The responsible writer should not misquote the official Press release of 27th March in the front page of Nagaland Post, Morung Express, etc.
As an elderly NNC member, I humbly request Mr.Kiumukam Yimchungru (Vice President) not to mislead NNC members in particular and create division at this very crucial stage in the Naga Homeland.
Finally, the Angami Regional Council stand to support whatever business conducted, adopted and passed in the House on 29th March 2011 for the larger interest of NNC and the Nation..

Zhavilhu Tacii,
President,
Angami Regional Council
