Angjangyang block level coordination meeting held

Mon, November 16 (MExN): The block level coordination meeting was organised by District Administration Angjangyang Sub-Division on November 14 which was attended by EE Pangteang, Government officials, Village council chairmen, GBs, VDB secretaries, Chairman of all communitise institutions and students leaders.   T

he programme started with one minute silent prayer paying homage to Lt. Wasu Katiry NCS, former SDO (C) Angjangyang. Yanithung Ngullie SDO (C) Angjangyang conducted a review of all development activities being undertaken at Angjangyang Block by VDBs, VECs, WATSAN, VEMBs, VHCs.  

The SDO (C) in a press release stated that MLA Pangteang highlighted the developmental activities being undertaken at Angjangyang sub-division such as construction of SDO (C) office, BDO office, police station Angjangyang and PFIC Mopong. He shared his vision on human resource development through active participation of all stakeholders viz. VEC, TEC, NGOs, parents and School Education Department. He also sought support and cooperation from all the departments and the public for overall development of Angjangyang Block.  

Officials of RD Block Angjangyang highlighted the annual activities of the department and also shared that the Block is lagging behind others in linking of Account number with MGNREGA Job card due to non-availability of bank in the Block.   The meeting deliberated on the dismal performance of GHS Angjangyang and GHS Mopong in the previous HSLC Exam which is a result of shortage of teaching staffs at Primary schools, Middle Schools and High Schools, and resolved to urge the Department of Schools Education for posting of adequate teaching staffs by the start of next academic session.  

The programme was chaired by Wanmai Vice Chairman ATC Angjangyang, invocation prayer pronounced by Nokyen Pastor Angjangyang, Votes of thanks by Nahwan DB MLA inspects the site of ongoing construction of SDO (C) Office and also inspects the SDO (C) Official residence and Rest House which was destroyed by windstorm in the month of April.
