Animal health care-cum vaccination camp held

A one day animal health care-cum- vaccination camp of domestic pigs and dogs took place today at 4th NAP Battalion Thizama.  

It was organized by Chief Veterinary Office Kohima & Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Elizabeth Yhome, veterinary surgeon, Veterinary Hospital Kohima said the programme aim to disseminate basic information the community about the animal health and to help prevent the prevalent diseases.  

4th NAP Battalion assistant commandant Vikato Chishi thanked the veterinary & animal husbandry department for organizing such programme and hoped that it will benefit the community in term of economy as well as hygienic environment.  

The formal function was chaired by ABI Solevi Metha, ‘D’ Coy 4th NAP Battalion.  

The formal function was followed by vaccination of domestic pigs and dogs.  

It is learn that around 450 families within the camp of 4th NAP Battalion Thizama rear pigs and dogs and today’s vaccination camp registered beneficial to many.
