Mokokchung, August 8 (MExN): The annual Süngkotenem Angling Festival will be held from August 13 through 27 at Süngkotenem Lake, Mopungchuket village, Mokokchung organized by the Mopungchuket Community Tourism Society.
The first day of the angling fest, that is August 13, Saturday will be competition day where three biggest catches will be awarded certificates and cash prize. Timing for the anglers has been scheduled for 5:00 am to 5:00 pm on all days of the fest. It will remain closed on Sundays.
Tickets for the competition day will be Rs.500/- each while the price shall remain at Rs.200/- per ticket for the rest of the days of the fest. A fee of Rs.10/- per head shall be collected at the Süngkotenem Park entry gate as usual. An angler shall be allowed only two rods. Necessary rules and regulations of the competition will be made known at the site on the day.
