ANTA Wokha resolve to stop transporting LPG cylinders

WOKHA, NOVEMBER 18 (NPN): Keeping in view the safety of passengers, the Wokha Unit of All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) has resolved to stop carrying LPG cylinders in any taxi of Wokha district.  

The resolution was adopted during the unit’s ‘Annual Day cum Raising Day 2017’ here at Santsuphen on November 18, stated a press release issued by ANTA Wokha General Secretary.  

Also staying true to its motto “Service to the public”, the association has also resolved to ask passengers to carry limited luggage (around 20 kgs) in order to ensure safety of the passengers.  

The ANTA Wokha Unit also resolved to support the All Commercial Vehicle Association’s (ACVA) 18 May 2017 resolution of “One government, One tax”.  

During the picnic, president ANTA Wokha Unit, Hayithung Odyuo extended greetings and encouraged the members to keep up the good work in service of the public. He also appealed for support from the sub units in future.  

Former president of the unit, Renbomo Humtsoe, senior driver Renphamo Tsanglao and former finance secretary Yanbothung Jami delivered short speeches. General secretary, ANTA Wokha Unit, Lipenthung Ovung and finance secretary Bipenthung Shitiri gave the Annual Report of the association.  

Earlier, Renbomo Humtsoe invoked God’s blessings. Later, Bipenthung Shitiri delivered the vote of thanks. The programme was led by N. Amos Humtsoe.
