Anti-Corruption Cell officers appointed in Manipur

Newmai News Network Imphal | March 26   Following the decision of the Manipur Cabinet meeting held on March 24 to set up Anti-Corruption Cell, the Manipur government has appointed P Gojendra Singh, MCS and Hemanta Singh, MPS as officers of the Anti-Corruption Cell set up at the office of Chief Minister of Manipur.   The officers will be responsible for looking into the complaints received from the general public. They will maintain a register and will enter the details of the complaint along with the full details of name and contact details of the complainant, a DIPR release said today.   The Cell will report the same to the Secretary to the Chief Minister for onward submission to the Chief Minister. Identity of the complainant will be kept confidential. The status of complaint or grievance lodged will be maintained in the register. All the complaints received in the Anti- Corruption Cell shall be placed for screening and suggesting further course of actions before the Screening Committee consisting of the Chief Secretary as Chairman, two senior most Additional Chief Secretaries and Administrative Secretary (DP) as members.   The meeting of the Screening Committee will be held on 1st and 16th of every month. If it falls on a holiday, it will be held on the next working day.   The dedicated cell number of the Anti-Corruption Cell is 9402150000, the release said.
