The Aowli Festival 2018 culminated at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung on December 8 with an Advent Christmas celebrations where different wards in Mokokchung took part in the carol presentation. Renowned Ao band, Samaro, also entertained the crowd by belting out Christmas and Ao songs.
The framers band and the Madhatters band also took part in the celebration. Results and prize distribution of various competitions and raffle lucky draw was also given out at the culminating programme.
Anungla Aier, Convenor, Aowli Festival 2018 thanked all individuals and groups for their support in making the event a successful one in her vote of thanks speech.
The three day Aowli Festival 2018 organised by the Watsu Mungdang successfully ended with women folks from different walks of life participating in various events especially in selling and promoting locally produced products.
The sustainable festival was aimed at bringing about sustainable change and in promoting the women folks in the field of art, culture and entrepreneurship.
The Watsu Mungdang hopes to continue the festival as a yearly event and requested the citizens to cooperate towards a sustainable change in the state.
