PREPAK (PRO) cadre
Kohima, August 13 (MExN): Assam Rifles Battalion apprehended one cadre of PREPAK (PRO) in general area village Horu Chinghan, Tirap district, Arunachal Pradesh on August 8. Colonel C Konwer, PRO (Def) in a press release stated the apprehended cadre was identified as Lance Corporal Nongthongbam Malemnganba Singh. A point 32 Pistol and live ammunition were recovered from the individual, who along with recovered weapon has been handed over to police for investigations. The release added that the sustained and intense pressure from security forces have prevented the cadres from getting in touch with their over ground workers for safe passage through international borders.
