Kiphire, January 20 (MExN): Kiphire Battalion of Assam Rifles under aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organized an interaction meeting with Village Officials and ESM of Kiphire town and village, chaired by Major General P C Nair, YSM, Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) on January 16. The aim of this interaction was to discuss about the prevailing security situation in the battalion area of responsibility, Kiphire district. The Inspector General also apprised the GBs about setting up a Skill Development Centre which will provide employment to uneducated youth and help them in earning for their livelihood. The GBs assured full co-operation and support to the security forces in bringing about a peaceful and secure environment in the district. 30 residents including DC, Kiphire attended the meeting.''
