Kohima, December 14 (MExN): Assam Rifles on December 13 helped parents who approached Assam Rifles camp in Teliamura in Tripura for help in escorting their children from Notre Dame Holy Cross School, Moharpara. Lt Col Sumit Sharma, PRO (Defence) in a press release said the students were unable to return to their homes after the school was closed for the Christmas holidays owing to the prevailing unrest in the State. Assessing the security situation, the release said that columns of Assam Rifles were asked to provide all assistance and the children were escorted to the safety of their homes.
