Kohima, November 10 (MExN): Troops of Assam Rifles under HQ IGAR (South) recovered contraband drugs worth 10.40 lakh from Khudengthabi Check post in Tengnoupal district on November 8. During a routine vehicle check post, troops of Assam Rifles stopped a bus bearing registration no. MN 0601BA 0066. As per a press release from Lt Col Sumit Sharma, PRO (Defence), the team recovered two packets of heroin weighing approximately 26 gm and costing approximately Rs 10,40,000 from one of the passenger Lalkhogou (64 years) of Churachandpur. The detained individual and recovered items have been handed over to PS Moreh.
