Pfutsero, July 25 (MExN): Based on specific information, troops of 9 Assam Rifles launched an operation in the Apple Garden area, near Pfutsero, Phek District on July 21 and recovered 240 bottles of Mc Dowell Rum, 105 bottles of Mc Dowell Whiskey, 96 bottles of Officers Blue Whisky and 96 cans of Kingfisher beer from a Maruti Omni Van bearing Registration No. NL 07 7271. The Indian Made Foreign Liquor amounted to approximately 1.26 lacs, the AR informed in a press release. Two people were apprehended from the vehicle; they were identified as Aviho, 25 years, and Rechu Rfther, 31 years, both residents of Meluri, Phek District. The two accused along with recovered liquor and vehicle were handed over to Pfutsero Police Station for further investigation.
