AR recovers liquor worth Rs. 28000

Kohima, February 22 (MExN): The Wokha Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) carried out a search operation at Foot Hill Road Junction, Wokha and captured illegal Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth Rs. 28,000 on February 22.  

The AR informed in a press release that two persons indentified as Atheo Odyuo, a resident of Bhandari Village, and Nchunthung Kikon, a resident of Alikhum Village, were arrested for the possession of the intoxicants.  

The recoveries include 60 bottles of rum, 72 bottles of Beer and 48 cans of beer, it said. The accused along with the recoveries were subsequently handed over to Bhandari Police Station.
